PE: Cross Country Training

This term we have been practising for cross country. We have been doing a table to keep our time and I think I have improved, because i have been beating myself and not worrying about other people beating me. Here is my table of level one. P.S this is three laps around our field.

Change Makers - Term 3 Inquiry

This term we are focusing on people who have made a positive difference to the world ( or their part of it).

Who can we identify as change makers?
Why?
What actions + decisions do they take?
What do you think motivates change makers?
What might change makers do to motivate others?
Mia
People who have come across something that they don't like and they make a change.
They take quite a lot of risks. And discover things.
If they go overseas and they think that they could make a change to that part of the country.
Other people might look up to and change something they want to change.

Inquiry Reflection - What I have learnt about Osteosarcoma

I have learnt that only 1-3 people get it New Zealand a year. My brother has had Osteosarcoma.  His operation took 7 hours. I learnt what chemotherapy does to your body. My brother had his whole fibula bone (the bone between the knee and ankle) removed from his leg and he can still walk. Osteosarcoma mainly affects boys. The question I still have is: how did the tumor get to his leg in the first place?

Reading: Wonder Reflection

This term our class has been reading a book called "Wonder". It is about a boy called August and he doesn't have a normal face like other kids.

Picasso Inspired Art

Last week we had to diesign a Picasso picture, I drawled Ruby and this is how it turned out.
