Maths: Angles Shape

In maths we have been learning about angles, we measured them with a protractor here is a picture of one. I know that a right angle is exactly 90 degrees, an acute angle is less than 90 degrees, an obtuse angle is more that 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees. A straight line is 180 degrees and a full turn is 360 degrees.

Narrative Writing

In Class we have been learning about narrative writing. We watched a little movie for writing and we had to do a different ending this is my ending.

Oktapodi
As the truck driver grabbed the two octopus he forgot to look where he was going. Martha clung on to Nigel and they flew off the hill and jumped in the sea. Unfortunately the truck driver died. But Martha and Nigel lived happily ever after and made a family.

Maths, Reading & Visualisation

In reading we have been working on our comprehension strategies.  Last week we focused on visualisation - they way we can create mental images when we read to deepen our understanding of the text.  We read a short passage that explained how to measure a very tall object without having to climb it and we visualised how we would do this.

Yesterday we went out and put this knowledge into practice. Ruby and I went out to a lamp post and measured it and we got it right. Some other people got 100% they got 2.40m on the ground and 2.40m for the top. Here is Ruby and I working.
